Why is a powerful Vision so important for your business?

2020 Nugget – Your Vision

Your vision is your:

The Protein shake in the morning

The cup of coffee that starts your day right

The work out session that leaves you feeling exhilarated

The wake-up call that shakes your world like an earthquake

It is your power source that keeps you excited and drives you to the finish line.

If you don't feel like this, YOUR VISION is not big enough or it is not the right one for YOU.

Think of your vision like a GSP. We use our GPS to get to a location. Your Vision is very similar. You would decide where you want to go and enter it into your GPS to direct you on how to get there. Your GSP will also redirect your when there is an accident or traffic and then bring back to your path to get you to your destination.

Your Vision is your GSP for your business. Your vision is where you want to take your business, where you want to go.  Without your vision you can not create a plan to get there.

How to get some where when you do not know where you are going?

Creating your Vision is simple but often difficult because it can be hard to see beyond our limitations and what we think is possible verses what is actually possible.

IT IS ULTIMATELY YOUR DREAM – HERES WHAT I MEAN

Your dream is a mental picture of the future state of where you want your business to be at a certain point in time

It provides you clarity in the direction you are going and keeps you focused in doing the things that will bring you closer to your vision

It keeps you connected to your bullseye and prevents you from veering off your path so you can make your dream a reality.

Walt Disney said, “if you can dream it you can build it”.

Here are some tips to get you started on creating or expanding your vision for 2020.

Creating a Vision is simple but not always easy. We often make things much harder than they need to be by over thinking what we need to do. It is also difficult to do it ourselves.

I have realized over time that when you can break things down into small bite sized pieces, we manage the pieces better. Like building a puzzle. I sort out the puzzle pieces by edge pieces, center pieces and colours so it easy to figure out where they all fit together.  Your business is the same thing. It has lots of moving parts and when you can break it up into sections and understand how they stand alone and all fit together it becomes much easier to build a successful business.

3 Steps to help you create your 2020 Vision or give it the boost it needs.

Step 1

To create a really big vision you have to let go of your fears, not worry about the how and imagine anything is possible just for a short period of time. It will grow on you. Once you are done creating your vision you will start to see anything is possible.

With so many moving parts in a business we need to divide things up into smaller manageable pieces. We need to understand what pieces we need to do and what pieces need to be delegated now and later on as you grow and expand. Once we build our Big Vision of where we want to take our business and who you will be serving,  breaking it up into sections, understanding how they stand alone and how they all fit together you will be able to see what is truly possible.

Step 2

Decide if your vision will be completed in 2 years or 3 years. It could always happen sooner or a little bit longer and that is okay. The important part is to have a time line to keep you motivated and moving it forward.

Step 3

What is your vision? What do you want to create? Make a list of all the things you would like to create/build for your company. It is really important not to limit yourself. It is okay to dream big.  o while you are creating this list, do not think about the how. The how will come when you decide what you want.

Think like a kid, believe anything is possible. I am proof that anything is possible and so are my clients.

Imagine that it is 3 years later and you are sitting with your favourite person, mom, dad, hubby, best friend, whoever that is for you.  When you turn to them and say I did it. What exactly did you do? Think outside your comfort zone, think outside the box and dream big.

What income will you be making?

Will you have a team, how many, what will their jobs be?

Would you like to write a book?

Is being a speaker on the list? Or maybe you are a speaker and want to speaker more often!

Why did you start your business in the first place? Who did you want to help and why?

How big do you want to build your business?

Truly, think about what you want and how you want to continue helping your ideal client.

Creating your vision will help you in many areas of your business.

Your Vision help you with your: direction, focus, strategic plan, clear communication, the right target market, marketing strategies, staying on track, finding the right partnerships, building a team, and leadership (what kind of leader do you want to be).

Your VISION is the foundation of your company and what you are building, so really think about what you want. It is a BIG DEAL.
